food for thought

Do we have a hundred percent right to condemn the president.Have we ever for once thought of it that the president emerged from the masses.Yes,indeed our leader has lots of backslides,but how about the backslides of the citizens.I have been opportuned to be somewhere else,and this exposure has enlightened me more,especially on issues of our country.its unfortunate but i have to say this,that the problems of our country actually starts from the citizens to the leaders,because a leader is choosen from us,and if a follower has bad qualities while being a follower,what will change him when he becomes a leader.A miracle i guess.imagine representatives sent outside their country to deliberate on some matters,sleep off while in meetings and conferences, only to wake up after hours to start asking for the most expensive shops,where they can purchase items for their children.Yes,this is not just a talk of imagination,but a reality.....now did the president ask them to sleep in those meetings?did he send them over to come shop for their children?why should it be the time for important issues that the trivial ones should take place.Is it that we do not care for the nation as a whole?Now the killing of the four innocent youths,who did that?was it the president,or the so called followers?where are we going to,we were coming from somewhere but now the routes have been lost,priorities have been misplaced.when are we going to do our bits and play our parts as followers and not blame our negligence,our ignorance and unnecessary excesses on the president.In as much as the president might have been sloping in managing the affairs of the country,we the followers have to be up and doing.we are not the only country in our continent going through hard times,but why must we be the ones to be more in prisons in another man's land,why must we be the ones whom when at the mere mention of the name of our great country, brings a negative remark or impression into minds.why!why!!why!!!No matter what, our home is our home,these should be a cause of worry,it should bring pain,like the one am feeling writing this now.Yes,we have a problem,but guess what that problem is,WE!yes,WE are the major problem of our great country.your attitude determines your altitude.start the reformation from your mind,then your doorstep,for it is what the mind conceives that comes into reality.

something random

Am just here sitting in the classroom,waiting for a three hour class,going through blogs.....i just love reading other peoples blogs even though i dont know them.i learn alot from it,get motivated and somtimes its a way for me to get out of boredom.Talking about boredom,it can be a very annoying state of mind.i appreciate the times i have to post things on my blog,it gives me this inner satisfaction,and the fact that i can reach out to others for them to learn.hmm...i really dont have much to say,i just hope i enjoy the class ahead and dont start feeling sleepy half way,hahahaha,dont get me wrong,i dont always feel sleepy in class,its just that there's always an exception in everything.i look forward to this evening,not because i know what or how it is going to be like,but i just have this hope that its going to be beautiful.Afterall,hope keeps us going.

HAPPY RAMADHAN

Alhamdulillah,another glorious Ramadhan is here again,and i can't help but to thank GOD almighty for his infinite mercies,for allowing us reach another blissful period like this.Ramadhan as we all should know, is not just all about not eating and drinking for a certain time,but it involves just more than that.it is a time for us to seek forgiveness and blessings from the almighty,worshipping extra,doing all sort of good deeds and getting more spritual.I pray that GOD crowns our positive efforts with his unlimited favours and rahma(blessings)and give us the opportunity to witness many more Ramadhans.AMIN.Ramadhan mubarak to all muslims.

Spending Wisely

Through many careful observations,it has come to my notice that a high percentage of nigerians live above their means, which is one of the things protruding difficulties for the citizens.Imagine someone earning little, but wanting to do everything.for instance, an employee earning an average salary enough to cater for his family,will want to ride a car that a rich business tycoon possess.What's the point?everyone knows that cars are more expensive to maintain than the actual cost of it.Then when money budgeted for something else, is being used for the repairs of a car that crashed unexpectedly,you know the result...The cash could be spent on something more productive,could even be used for investments no matter how small.success is easier to attain when sacrifices are made,giving up what one desires at a certain moment,to achieve a positive aim.That way i think things could be better.The fact remains, that most of those things that are bought are even not much needed, compared to other things that are important.The saying that money should be spent wisely is a wise saying indeed,as spending wisely could make one earn more wisely,so i think....just saying

life's lessons

I really don't know where to start from,but i guess i have to start from somewhere after all.
Many things i have come across,many people i have met with,many situations i have had to deal with,both negative and positive,but i am grateful for having the little experiences i have had in my little years,which made me know what the real world is like outside,living without your immediate family.Life is beautiful they say,of course it is,but i have learnt that no matter how beautiful life may be there will always be imperfections,and guess what,these imperfections are what makes it beautiful and interesting.Pray for the best they say and expect the worse.But the question is,how many people really expect the worse?
You might be wondering,"what is she talking about"?I am just trying to lay out my views on life,it's cruelty at times,it's fun and it's struggles.I might not have experienced much but so far so good,all i could say is that everything put together has made me strong,sensible and enthusiastic.The cruelty is when the unexpected happens,the fun is when you are doing what you know how to do best and you're happy with it,maybe your definition of it may differ from mine,the struggles is the unrelenting trial to achieve ones goals.Both the good and the ugly people, i have learnt one or two lessons from.surprised i didn't mention the bad?well,i wouldn't say i have come across the bad,because bad occurs more in situations than in people.For me actions are bad,not people.
My life lessons are: whatever life throws your way,just pick a lesson and move on,be who you are,firm and strong.And the rest will be history by GOD'S grace.

EVERYONE HAS OPINIONS

 It  has  come  to  my  notice  that  people  always  want  others  to  buy  their  ideas  and  accept   that  their  opinion  is  always  the  correct  one. In  some  cases,  it  has  resulted  in  physical  combat. Like  the  saying  goes,*different  strokes  for  different  folks*.So  why  would  you   want  to  force  the acceptance  of  your  opinions  on  anyone? We  as  humans  have  different  backgrounds, upbringing  and  experiences  in  general, and  so  therefore, we  must  see  things  differently. I  believe  we  should  respect  each  other’s  opinions  and  then  just  stick  to  what  you  believe  in  as  well. Imagine  if  everyone  in  the  world  had  the  same  view  on  the  same  things, I  doubt  if  the  world  will  have  gotten  to  this  level  of  development  it  has  attained .After all,  two  heads  are  better  than  one   they  say, the  purpose  of  this  is  to  MERGE  ideas  in  order  to  achieve  certain  goals. Argument  is  normal  to  an  average  man, but  there  should  be  a  limit to  it.Sophocles said"The kind of man who always thinks that he is right,that his opinions,pronouncements,are the final word,when once exposed shows nothing there.But a wise man has much to learn without a loss of dignity".

We  can  and  will  learn  more  if  only  we  could  be  patient  enough  to  digest  someone  else’s  opinions, weigh  the  pros  and  cons  if  any, and  then  GENTLY  relate  what  you  think  to  the  other  party, as  manner  of  approach   matters  alot. what  you  say  might  not  even  be  the  problem, but  how  you  say  it  might  be. People  will  always  have  different  ideas  on   different issues  but  what  matters is  the  way it  is  being  put.
